1960  Born in Marktleugast, Germany     
lives and works in Berlin since 1980

1978-1984 Study Visual Communication in Würzburg, Germany.
1980 Stayed in Torino/Italy, worked as assistant at »Arte Povera« studios.
Since 1985 Has been working with new and old media at the interface
between human and mechanical perception.
1989 and 1991 Participation at the Bienal of São Paulo, Brasil
1996 Artist in Residence at Headlands Center for the Arts, San Francisco
1996 Awarded TV-production (ZDF) Der Schatten­bild­ner together with Ayse Buchara.
1990-2000  CD-ROM interzone (editor). An exploration of the entire ‘death strip’
between the two Berlin Walls.
